The Gender Diverse Population Working Group covers 33 Rohingya camps, including the Transit Centre, besides areas in the host community in Cox’s Bazar; Nhila Union; Palong Khali, Whykong and Raja Palong Union.
The Working Group focus on delivering technical guidance to all organizations working within the Rohingya Response to increase internal capacities concerning the protection of members of the gender-diverse population living in Bangladesh, identify their main needs, and offer an adequate and timely response. Main areas of activities of the Gender Diverse Population Working Group are:
a) Prevention/Outreach & awareness-raising campaigns
b) Integrated protection and multi-sectorial Response
c) Capacity building and technical support
d) Risk Mitigation and Gender Mainstreaming
