The ISCG Development Unit, with guidance from the ISCG Principal Coordinator, UN Resident Coordinator and SEG Co-chairs, aims to:

• Promote development approaches within the Rohingya Response to enhance resilience and self-reliance for refugees and host communities.
• Engage with development partners and International Financial Institutions to enhance the value added and relevance of development support for host communities and refugees.
• Engage with district authorities to align the response with development priorities and promote mutually beneficial linkages.

The Development Unit supports Sectors to incorporate development approaches and district perspectives within inter-sector processes and plans, as well as supporting efforts to promote livelihoods and market-based approaches. The Unit also works to enhance visibility and analysis of response in host communities and to promote the alignment of such response with district priorities.

The Development Unit convenes the Cox’s Bazar Development Forum, which provides a platform for partners to engage on the interface between the Rohingya response and district development.
